Week 3 Module 1

Module 1 activity 1 week 3

This week we are given instructions about using nouns and pronouns as follows;

Observe a scene, preferably in a crowded, busy, or public place. List the activities that you see occurring and the actors (those doing the activity). Write 5-6 sentences that use your observation list and underline the subjects of your sentences. Write a few sentences experimenting with using different types of pronouns from the tables in Unit 3.  You will want to keep all of these sentences at hand as you do the writing activities for this unit.

Examination Hall

Nana and Alia along with other students of eleventh class, when entered the examination hall, shocked to see that hall was full of students and there was not even a single seat to sit. They were looking the watch, as few mints were left to start the paper. Miss Saleem noticed their expressions and advice them not to be late next time. She told them to sit in the next room .They rushed toward the next room to find the seat and luckily found two vacant seats in the front row. So they breathed a moment of relief and started their paper in time. In the above given sentences,the nouns and pronouns are underlined.

Week 3 Module 2

Instructions about the journal Module 2 Writing Activity In your journal, continue your observation list of the scene you observed for Unit 3, Journal Assignment 1 by noting several vivid action verbs. Revise some of your sentences using action verbs and/or write 2-3 new sentences with action verbs. Try not to use any of the forms of “to be” (is, are, was, etc.).  Underline the action verbs in your sentences. Again, you will want to keep all of these sentences at hand as you do the peer reviewed writing at the end of the unit.

Module 2 week  3

Nana and Alia when entered the examination hall, shocked to see the hall full of students. They got late to take their seats; Miss Saleem noticed their problem and pointed to the next room to find their seats. They rushed in a hurry towards the other room and luckily found two vacant seats there, took a sigh of relief and started their paper.

Module 2 Writing Activty

The second Module writing include a list of verbs and adverbs along with nouns and adjectives as the instructions are “In your journal, continue your list of nouns and adjectives by adding in five to ten verbs and adverbs. Then, write a couple of sentences using your list of nouns, adjective, verbs, and adverbs”. Lets try to add verbs and adverbs to my previous writing . Verbs was, get, blow, shine, rise ,cover, start, fall,, remain ,bring Adverbs stormy, madly, mercilessly, continuously, gradually, relatively, rapidly, quickly, smoothly, gently ,suddenly.

The weather condition was getting worse as it was a hot summer day. Weather didn’t look nice. The extreme burning sun was mercilessly shining over the sky. The temperature of the thermometer was continuously rising. Everyone was looking lethargic and dull. There was no sign of changing in weather. Suddenly the sun looked pale and muddy as a veil of cloud covered the bright sun to stop throwing its furious flames. Then a gentle cool breeze started blowing from a distant island smoothly to bring a life to the poor people. After some time the stormy gusty winds were blowing at a terrifying speed and the sky was covered with dark stratus clouds within a short duration. Then heavy rain accompanying with white snow hail was falling madly on the ground to cheer every creature. That stormy weather prevailed for a while and dissipated gradually. Though it remained for a short time but now everyone was looking happy as the weather was quite pleasant and cool .

   

My E-Journal A mind blowing activty

First task is given to us by our instructor is to create a journal.It was exciting to create my own blog and to publish it.I have no idea how to create a blog.When I started to create my blog,I was quite hang after filling the initial form of WordPress was quite difficult to advance further as it was quite stuck to that step.After consulting my daughter,I come to know the error which was my password,not accurate or according to the required field.Anyhow after some time ,now I am able to write my first article.The first task given by our teacher is to write Nouns and Adjectives.

These Nouns and Adjectives are selected from a weather condition prevailing in these days  in our country.Extreme temperature in summer is common and unbearable .But after some time when a fresh breeze starts to blow with a cloud cover over the sky and change the weather all at once.

This is really a mind blowing activity.I enjoyed to complete it. My First Week Activity.
